Generation X Finance offers finance advice for any Generation
September 18th, 2011
Don’t let this publications name fool you, the financial insights and tips found on Generation X Finance go beyond the demographic it’s name may suggest. Launching as a simple personal finance blog, this finance advisor turned retirement planner quickly realized that he could get this information in front of thousands.
Jeremy Vohwinkle knew at a very early start that his opinion could span beyond Generation X Finance, which it did, earning coverage in USA Today, Yahoo Finance, and AARP magazine. Today Jeremy still assits those who walk into his office, but he also writes about financial planning at About.com as well as many other media outlets.
Who is GenXFinance: Founded in October 2006, the idea of Generation X Finance (www.genxfinance.com) came to life after spending a number of years in the finance industry working as a financial advisor and retirement plan consultant. Jeremy took to the web and began dishing out financial advice for the masses. When he isn’t writing about money, he’s brewing his own beer or practicing his short game.
Inspiration: While already actively helping those better manage their finances as a financial advisor and later a retirement plan consultant, Jeremy, felt his reach was extremely limited. Knowing at the time that his skill set was available to only those who came into his office, it was the idea of being able to help more people with the money by getting information to the masses that Generation X Finance was born.
